Mom and Caregiver Gets Smoke Free To Improve Recuperation From Surgery

Date: 01/28/14

My name is Brigette Goodman. I am 33 years old, a widowed mother of a 12-year-old boy. I take care of my mother and grandmother.

I started smoking when I was 13 years old; a nasty habit, and I have smoked for 20 years.

I was in a car accident ten years ago and messed up my legs, feet, and right hip. I had many surgeries then, but now I need a hip replacement, and my doctor says I need to stop smoking first so my new hip replacement will heal correctly.

I met John on January 15, 2014, the day I had my last “smoke”! I got help to become a healthier me — and family; not to mention a lot closer to a new hip that will allow me to care for the people I love.

John explained the program and comforted me.
I felt relaxed and confident with his help.
I was convinced I was finished with cigarettes.

It works!! Thank you, John!!
